Summary
Companies in both B2C and B2B markets have realised the benefits of transacting online and are bringing in considerable revenues using that channel. Now many organisations are looking at how to improve and streamline how they approach e-commerce to gain competitive advantage.
This event will include both commercial and technical content. There will also be a series of real life case studies including a presentation from Ian Glen, Managing Director of Westminster Collection - the UK's leading supplier of collectable stamps and coins from the Royal Mint - covering how enhancing their e-commerce site led to increased sales and streamlined processes.
MORE ABOUT THE EVENT
A growing trend towards next generation systems
Now that transacting online has been established over a number of years as a viable business model, there is the opportunity to create more well-honed, elegant e-commerce systems.
This means looking at the end-to-end process of online transactions. For instance, how does the user buy online, what happens when the order is placed, if multiple items are bought is the fulfillment avenue the same, how are invoices generated, what sort of reporting is needed?
Why run a seminar?
Chameleon Net has over 6 years' experience in designing and developing sophisticated e-commerce systems and web applications.
We decided to run this event after seeing a growing trend in the latter half of 2004. A number of our clients were asking us to help them revisit their existing e-commerce sites to take them to the next level.
This has included looking at ways to enhance the customer experience on sites and tackling behind the scenes integration with supply chain systems, ERP applications and CRM packages.
If this reflects your situation, we invite you to come along, hear our experiences, find out what other businesses are doing, and learn about new techniques available for online transactional systems.
MORE ABOUT THE GROUCHO CLUB
The Groucho Club, established in 1985, is a private members' club located on Dean Street in Soho, London. The name of the Club was inspired by one of Groucho Marx's quips; he once remarked that: "I don't want to join a club that will accept me as a member"
At this free event we will cover:
- What you can do to improve your existing site.
- The convergence of content management and e-commerce.
- How to integrate the end-to-end process.
- Ways to lower your operating costs and increase revenue.
- How to implement sophisticated tracking and reporting.
WHY NOW?
"An estimated 12m Britons shopped online during 2004, and their Yule spend alone - during the last three months of the year - contributed £2.6bn to the UK's £245bn total annual retail sales. This figure represents a 44.5 per cent increase on the same period in 2003."
